The design of bellows in respect of tooling is critical for the application. The wall sections are often critical and the design of the tooling. We offer moulded bellows to FDA standards and bellows to WRAS approvals.
We manufacture rubber bellows using a broad range of rubbers and silicone to meet customer requirements. We can work to industry standards such as DTD, AMS, Def Stan and BS, FDA and WRAS.
Our rubber bellows can offer resistance against: Dust, Oil, Grease, Water, UV, Fuel and Acids.
Other applications are Bellows for HVAC or Aerospace or Marin applications.
Bellows for chemical compatibility are the norm with respect to material selection and design of tooling. Petrochemical Industries and Pharmaceutical Industries relay heavily on gaitors and bellows for their applications. All these Industries rely on full trace-ability and high technical manufacture.
The Pharmaceutical Industry is extremely safety and hygiene critical and often our mouldings must be produced in FDA approved material. It is also possible to formulate our materials with ferrite fillers. This means that any small fragments of rubber that break away due to continued abrasion to be detected by standard metal detection equipment often used on the production lines.
Meadex has also developed magnetic seals. These are patented to Meadex and fulfil FDA requirements.
Specific customer requirements and assembly are performed in white room or clean room manufacture if required.
